How Do I AUdition?
We continuously post information about where and how to audition for shows on our Instagram! As well as our Facebook! Anyone is allowed to audition for our shows and we are always excited to have new faces perform with us!
What is a ‘pitch’?
A pitch is when any Dramac member sends through an email to express their interest in directing a theatre performance for one of our ‘spots’. It is then voted on later by Dramac members, or in the case of ‘Comrev’ by the Dramac executives.
what is a ‘spot’?
A ‘spot’ is the name for an allocated time in the year where a production team get together to put on a show. Once a pitch has been voted in, a ‘spot’ will have an audition period to decide the cast, a rehearsal period and a production period where the cast prepare their show in the theatre and perform. Some ‘spots’, such as ‘Fourth Spot’ and ‘Director’s First’ will also have a pre-production period as well, where they will have an additional amount of time to set themselves up in the theatre. ‘Spots’ can have up to 4 shows that present during their performance week, which all audiences are welcome to watch. There are 8 total ‘spots’ in the year, to learn more about each one please visit our Spot Details page.

What do I put in my pitch?
Each ‘spot’ has a different requirement of what the pitch needs, so we recommend that you check the Instagram and Facebook post that corresponds to the ‘spot’ you are pitching for. However apart from ‘Comrev’, which has a different pitching process, every ‘spot’ requires the following: Your name, your production team, the name of your play, the basic outline of your show, if you have any set or costume plans and if so what they are. You can also see what you should put in a pitch in Spot Details.
DO I NEED TO HAVE ACTED BEFORE TO BE INVOLVED IN DRAMAC?
No! There are so many roles in Dramac that don’t involve acting, from our non-performance events like our parties and picnics, to being involved in our production roles like technical director or front-of-house.
